Hello! I am 18 years old. Female. Today is my day 8 in inductionm I have beeen feeling horrible. I began with 208 pounds ( 94kg ) and today I am 189 pounds ( 85kg ). Almost from the day 1 i have been in induction flu. Last thursday it stoped, I guess. During induction flu I vomit, I couldn ' t walk, I felt miserable. Friday I woke up with energy, though at the night i was feeling very tired and i vomit again. I guess I am not eating that much, still i am eating, is hard to me to eat cause i feel so nauseated. Describing how my body is in pain is difficult, every inch of my body hurts, today i experienced really bad intestine constipation. It hurted! I been taking cathartic tea, it helps slighty bit. I been drinking around 3 litres of water peer day and taking vitamins. What can i do to make this horrible illness go away. I elevate being fat than being sick. I used to have so much energy. Am i doing something wrong? Help me please. [ / icon_cry. gif]
Thanks.

You need to eat at least 3 - 5 times a day... and I believe you need to hit near your 20 carb mark. Too little is as bad as too much, as I understand it. It doesn ' t sound like you ' re eating enough.
Since you ' re drinking lots of water, take lots of Vitamin C.

Do you have the Atkins book? Could you give us an example of an average day?
I ' m only just getting into it this time, but read a section in the book last night which I think may be appropriate to you.
It sounds as though you are loosing too fast & stripping your body & muscles of its nutrients. I cant remember exactly what it says but its in the chapter on Induction. Are you taking your suppliments? these are needed.
You have lost 19lbs in 8 days, which even for Atkins is alot, in the book he recomends upping your healthy carbs for a few days, more salad & acceptable veg.

for the record, i have NEVER ever heard of someone losing 19 lbs in 8 days. If this is correct, it sounds like you are in starvation mode given your constant vomiting and taking laxatives. You are clearly ill and have been for 8 days ( according to your post ), I would recommed At once stopping the diet and going to hospital / doctor for an evaluation.
With all due respect, your symptoms of constant vomiting over several days, feeling tired and " every inch of my body hurting " sound very serious and require immediate attention. Do yourself a favour - - take a pregnancy test - - just in case - - and then go to the doctor and get checked out.

Thank you to all of you for your answers!
Today I am feeling much better, still I am a bit tired. I will go tomorrow to my doctor to check if everything is fine...
Today i eated 15 net carbs till the momment and I am drinking lots and lots of water. The tea totally helped in the constipation problem, I just hope that doesnt affect ketosis.
I was eating 3 or 4 meals peer day, I guess that they were alright.
Breakfast
2 eggs mixed with cheese
Lunch
Flank Steak with iceberg lettuce and mushrooms
Dinner
Canned tuna with half onion and iceberg lettuce and a bit of mayo
Night snack
Hard boiled egg
Even though it was a sacrifice to eat, I eated. I don ' t have any idea how I lost so much weight in such a small amout of time. I will just hope that this horrible symptoms will disapear. What do you think is my menu alright? Should I keep eating like this?

heyheyhey,
Atkins flu does not include vomiting. I ' m glad you ' re feeling better, but you are taking in too few carbs and it ' s dangerous.
I suggest you give up iceberg lettuce. It has almost no nutritional value. It ' s on the Acceptable Foods list, but you definitely should not limit your vegetables to lettuce.
Instead, eat lots of a variety of vegetables from the Acceptable Foods list. You should be eating things like romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, celery, pumpkin, artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, summer squash, snow peas, spaghetti squash, spinach, string beans, zucchini, brussels sprouts, tomatos, cabbage, cauliflower. Your body will thank you.
Here ' s the Acceptable Foods list:

hi, glad to hear you ' re feeling better [ / icon_wink. gif] I ' m also 18 and planning to lose a bit more. Congrats on losing the weight!
I suggest you eat more vegetables, make sure to drink plenty of water ( at least 64 oz ), and increase your carb intake a little. Also, when you think you have enough energy, exercise, because that really helps.
Give us updates on your success soon, and good luck!

Just make sure your mayo has no sugar on the ingredients list and you can have the whole jar... Just watch the carb count.
