Yep, it ' s a boon when you fancy something sweet. I use Hartley ' s sachets, I think that ' s a British brand. They come in a good variety of flavours, and are dainty with cream poured on top. Be careful of the ready made pots though, sometimes they ' re made with real fruit juice which is a no no.

Kirsty... hi, not sure if I can be much help but I ' ll tell you what I ' ve found out on the subject. It ' s doesn ' t seem to be a cut and dry, yes or no answer. Some people say it ' s ok, others say it stalls their weight loss. I know that all of the sugar free powdered mixes ( make it yourself ) that I can buy here in the States are honeyed with Aspartame. Dr. Atkins did not approve of aspartame. BUT, if you look in his books it ' s there and " sugar free gelatin, 1 / 2 cup " is 0. 8 carbs and 8 calories... so I ' m not SURE if that ' s the fruit flavored totally sugar free stuff I eat since mine has zero calories. He also has " sugar free Jello Gelatin snacks, 1 each " that are 0. 0 carbs and 7 calories.
I don ' t know that there ' s a definitive answer on this stuff... it may be a YMMV ( your mileage may vary ) thing. Since it ' s so low in carbs and calories, you could do what I ' m doing... trying it to see if my body can handle it or if it ' s a no - no food for me. So far, it hasn ' t made me crave more. If anything, the whipped cream I ' m making for it IS doing that.. I want MORE whipped cream, the heck with the jello / jelly!!!

kristyb1 - did you mean Jell - O or Jelly???
I have used sugar - free jelly ( smuckers brand ) before in OWL but sparingly as it has about 5 carbs per tbsp ( It is good over lowcarb cheesecake ).
If you really did mean Jell - O then it is safe to eat as long as it is Sugar - free. I only buy Jell - O brand though.
