Well, I was a week later than I wanted to be but I ' ve managed it - that ' s my first 5st off. 5st and 4lbs to be precise! I feel fantastic now so I can ' t think how I ' ll feel after the next 5!

I just want to thank everyone on this forum yet again. You ' ve been wonderful and, as I ' ve said many times before, I don ' t think I ' d have been as successful without you.

Broony - What great news!

I found this old Scottish blessing a long time ago, and this morning remembered it - - - it certainly fits YOU!

May the dreams you dominance dearest,

Be those which come true.

May the kindness you spread,

Keep returning to you

Wonderful Broony, I am soooo jealous! How long did it take and what was the hardest part?

i have lost 1 stone since mid October ( not counting the 8 lbs I regained over Christmas ) and I am finding it absolutely difficult to get back on track - never did lose more than 2 lbs per week and really miss having more portions of fruit

Thanks for all your nice comments, guys. I haven ' t managed to look at the forum since I last posted and it ' s just lovely coming back to all those messages.

Oonagh, To be perfectly honest, I haven ' t found anything terribly hard since I started this. I ' ve only been hungry once and that was my own fault - I wasn ' t prepared enough when I went to work and didn ' t take enough food with me. I ' ve been doing this now for fur and a half months so I ' ve lost just over a stone a month. I ' ll tell you what I really, really miss though - ICE CREAM!!! I miss it so much. I found that when I stopped drinking alcohol I kind of replaced it with ice cream, you know, stressed - have some ice cream, happy - have some ice cream, sad - have some ice cream. You get the picture. Other than that, I ' ve just accepted that, for at least a year of my life, I can ' t have any. I fully intend having it at some time in the future - just not tubs and tubs of it at one sitting!!

Sari, You know what? I got to the stage where I was pretty much at rock bottom - I was just existing, not really living and I wasted so many years of my life - half of my 20 ' s and all of my 30 ' s. I just hid myself away. So any time now that I feel weak and tempted, I just remember what my life was like before and I really don ' t want to go back to that - I think I ' d rather be dead if I ' m being honest with you. I ' ll just stick to what I ' ve been doing for these last few months I think. I ' m LOVING it!!

Sorry for rambling, guys. Speak to you later.

[ / icon_question. gif] As a newbie to the sight, I must ask a question that I ' m sure you all know the answer to.... How does a stone translate into a pound?

Congrats on your loss of stones! I would be even more excited for you if I knew what it meant. [ / icon_question. gif] [ / icon_lol. gif]
