Is it OK to still take acidophilus. It keeps things regular. I looked at the ingredients, could not see any carbs. The only thing on the ingredients that looks a bit worrying is " Maltodextrin ". I do not know what that is.

That is the sweetener found in so many of the low carb products. I personally don ' t use it at this time, but I think you just have to experiment with what you ' ve been taking and see if it affects your weight loss. How much Maltrodextrin is in a dose of what you are taking? If it ' s just a minor amount you probably have no need to be concerned.
Good Luck! [ / icon_smile. gif]

I take acidophilis for the intestinal yeast control - I think it helps. But I take the minimum amount per day, 2 tablets. Mine too has maltrodextrin - I ' m not sure that is a sweetner though. Don ' t really know. Guess I will look it up - - - -

I take acidophilus and have been for a year because of yeast issues. I got some that has several other bacterias as well and is very clear that it does not contain yeast, pectin, etc. There are some out there. It sounds like yours isn ' t a problem, but if you are concerned, before buying your next batch, see if there are any that don ' t have that.

Hi Blueskyes! You doing OK? Are you back at work yet?
The product I take is Yeast Guard and it has other bacteria too. I had forgotten about my yeast issues because they have subsided somewhat since I stopped eating sugar. But they come Roaring back when I have something with sugar in it ( like a sliver of cake at a birthday party! I pay for it dearly with intestinal yeast problems, skin problems, etc. ) UGh.
Glad to see you back. [ / icon_wink. gif]

Hi,
Finally back at work, although still in pain so we ' ll see how long I last! Dr. wanted me flat on my back this weekend, but I had to go look for engagement rings so what ' s a girl to do? [ / icon_biggrin. gif]
The main thing that ' s getting me down is that I can ' t excercise at all. I haven ' t gained weight, so that ' s something and have been using a lot of frozen heat up the food and salad for meals. Soon I will have even more motivation to lose more weight ( if that is possible [ / icon_biggrin. gif] ).
Glad to be back. [ / icon_biggrin. gif]

Congratulations Blueskyes - engagement ring shopping vs laying on your back all weekend. Is there really a choice???? Many happy thoughts coming your way!
Glad to hear you are doing OK. Don ' t overdo it at work today - slow and easy.
