I have lost enough weight now to be able to get back to jogging which I used to do before. I am running 4 times a week about 3 miles a time. As I want to lose another half stone, I am still on induction. If you were me, would you increase your carb limit a bit to cope with the exercise or would you leave it the same please?

How many carbs are you eating a day???
That would actually help me determine what to do. If you are still eating at induction levels, and you only have 1 / 2 a stone to lose ( approx 7 lbs? ) then you should be adding carbs in and attempting to find your CCLL. This is so that when you reach your goal you can keep your weight, rather than losing or gaining.
But, exercise does hurting for energy, I ' m just not sure I would be looking to carbohydrates for that energy. The real problem is " are you eating enough food "?

Well I am still on induction. I am not utterly accurate though. Some days I have about 15 carbs and some 25 but it has all worked out fine until now. I eat fairly a lot of allowable stuff.

At only 7 lbs from goal, as evrrdy says, you should be working within the later stages of Atkins. Induction is for fast losing a lot of weight, OWL, premaintenance and month maintenance are for finding out how you are going to maintain the weight loss, and get back to a balanced diet. This is where the diet gets such a bad rap - the ultra low carbs / very high fat & protein are not meant to be a long - term way of life. The bulk of the program should be spent in OWL, where you ' re adding in more vegetables, fruits, nuts, healthy low carb grains, legumes, and even dairy. According to Atkins, as you add back carbs, you should be lowering your serving sizes of proteins and fats. By the last 5 - 10 lbs., you should be in pre - maintenance, and lose it very slowly. Remember - the slower the weight loss, the more likely it is to be permanent. Get out your book and review how to do the rest of this plan. IN fact, I fully recommend you buy Atkins for Life and get to know that book well. It really helped me to see how easy it will be to maintain this way of life without deprivation.

Thanks very much to both of you. I had misundestood the diet a bit. I researched the induction. I thought to myself " when I get to the next stage, I will research that bit ". Obviously I should have read ahead.
