I am on day 8 ( again ) and have lost a grand total of 2 pounds. I had lost one other one but it found its way back. Its so frustrating to me that I am so sensitive I cant have any suger alcohols or it stops my loss. I cant even eat the recommended amount of veggies or that really slows me down. I am in ketosis so I know Im on the right track. I have as of today even cut out the unsweetened green tea. Anyone else this sensitive?

That doesn ' t sound fun! Just keep at it, everyone loses at their own rate. Plus if you ' re figuring out exactly what stalls you that ' s a good sign. Have you uttered to your doctor about it? Good luck and don ' t give up. A 2 pound loss is 2 pounds less to lose [ / icon_smile. gif]

hi, I ' m new here and also to the Atkins diet. I think that what you ' re going through is truly fine. During induction, I didn ' t lose much either, but the pounds do come off [ / icon_wink. gif] Make sure to drink plenty of water ( at least 64 oz a day ) and make sure to limit your carb intake to the recommended amount during induction. Good luck [ / icon_biggrin. gif]

You need to eat the recommended amount of veggies even if it does slow you down.
Getting your metabolism rate up will speed your weight loss. Here are some tips for revving up your metabolism:
* Don ' t go any longer than 5 waking hours without eating.
* Exercise at least 30 newspaper five or six times per week.
* Eat those vegetables, especially a variety of them. A lot of your metabolism goes into digestion and salad vegetables miss a lot of digestive work.
During the first three weeks of Induction I lost 9lbs, then 2. 5 pounds, then four pounds. I think I ate approximately the same thing every day. I think that when your body is adjusting to your new way of eating, it goes through different stages. Hang in there and you ' ll soon see a steady weight loss!

But you ARE losing a pound a week... That means four pounds a month. So much more than zero pounds.

Hi everyone...
I am back to report my progress... although it is very slow but I still have to keep on going so i dont gain it all back...
I finished my 5th week of induction..... yes i am still doing induction as my body is slow to lose the pounds...
i started with a weight of 154. 5lbs.
now i am 146lbs.
so thats a loss of 8. 5lbs.. which is not bad but could have been better if i was not on estrogen... but anyways, i am still in ketosis so that is a good thing... may be my body will adjust to the changes sooner than later.
good luck to all on Atkins... take care,
