I have been on atkins diet for 1 year however I slipped up a few months ago around christmas time. Though I had reached my goal of 124 lbs since christmas i can ' t seem to lose the 10 lbs i gained during the holidays. I have in conclusion went on the high fat / nothing but protein to even lose the weight and ingesting only 10 carbs a day...... and well i ' m not hitting ketosis anyone have a suggestion??????

Are you not in ketosis or are you just not registering on the sticks? Could be you are, but just don ' t register.
10 lbs is veeeery little. So it always goes veeeery slow. Increasing your water intake is always a good idea, so is exercise.
Als, 10 lbs is very little, are you sure you NEED to lose it? I mean, maybe your body smartly feels better at a slightly higher weight and all you need to do is tone it by exercising?

10 carbs a day is pretty extreme also. I would add some veggies and bring the carb count up to 20 or so. So, you are up 10 lbs from the 124? How tall are you? I would imagine you are still in a healthy weight so the 10 you want to loose will go slow as the last 10 always do. I ' m in the same kind of situation. Just a few lbs above my ideal weight and everyone says I look fine but I know I want to lose a bit more.

Well the thing is when i started atkins over a year ago i weighed around 190 lbs. I was rather strict on my diet and rarely ate 20 grams a day mostly only ate around 10 to 15... and well i stayed on induction for alot longer than 2 weeks,,, every time I would start on owl stage i would stall for months so i would always bring it back down " the diet that is " to the basics,, when i finally came 5 lbs from my goal I stuck with owl stage introducing a little bit more every few weeks,,,, when i reached my goal however i couldn ' t eat no more than 30 grams a day without gaining [ / icon_eek. gif] i had stuck with that for a few months until the holidays and well I oopsed and started eating only a few bites here and there and well the awful in my book forbidden sugar free candies lol... so about a month and half ago I tried starting all over eating 20 grams or less a day / including my high fat meats / veggies etc and drinking @ least 80 onces of water.. well nothing,,, then i went to the very basics of high fat / protein diet took a cpl of weeks but finally in ketosis [ / icon_lol. gif] [ / icon_biggrin. gif] [ / icon_biggrin. gif]. I ' ve lost 3 lbs since my post and finally happy, but i do have a concern when i am in maintenance if 30 to 35 grams a day ok? Oh Dawn u asked how tall i was I am 5 ' 4 start weight was 190lbs lost down to 124 lbs..... when i posted this was 135 lbs and now 132 lbs.
