SO i lost 4 lbs in like 3 days. and i didn ' t cheat at all yesterday. but today when i checked, there was no change in my weight. could it be that i ' m jumping in and out of ketosis. coz i have a bitter sweet taste in my mouth sometimes and then it disappears for hours. then it comes back.

be a bit patient with your weight loss. you lost a lot in a short period, so your body is re - calibrating.
have faith it will come off, when its supposed to.
just stay focused on eating right, exercising, drinking water and sleeping. your body will take care of the rest.
good luck!

Mimi... weight loss is like that. You ' ll lose... stay the same... lose... gain... lose.... stay the same... stay the same.... stay the same... stay the same... OH, wait, that ' s MY pattern. [ / icon_eek. gif] [ / icon_lol. gif] [ / icon_lol. gif] You just never know how it will go. The only thing for certain is that if you stop trying, you ' ll gain. If you keep at it, you ' ll lose. Maybe slower than you ever thought possible ( me, again ) but it will happen. Never quit. You ' re WAY too early on the worrying part... so just relax, keep at it and let it happen.

Same with me, Mimimama. I guess we just need to hang in there. I lost 10 lbs in the 2 - week induction, in the third week ( which I ' ve continued with induction ) I haven ' t lost a thing. Sure hope it doesn ' t stop here!
The only way I ' m deviating from the rules is...
1 ) I drink coffee. Ain ' t no way I ' m giving that up! I ' m a full addict. but the good news is that I don ' t have sugar cravings, so I ' m not having that negative side - effect of coffee.
2 ) I had one beer and a few shots of whiskey over a 3 week period. I can understand that maybe pushing me out of ketosis for a day or two, but not much more than that.
But I ' m stickin to it. We ' ll see how it goes.

I too seem to have halted in the weight loss. I ' ve been on induction now for four weeks and in the first two weeks I lost only 4lb. On the third week I had lost a total of 6lb and have remained the same. I think Tril is right - weight just seems to fluctuate - its not worth worrying about, just stick with it like I have done. One things for sure, I havn ' t got any bigger and my measurements have decreased & that keeps me going so stick with it.
