Hi everyone!

I did not take the time at first to completely read all I should have. I found after my two weeks that I only lost 4 pounds and have not cheated not one time. I weighed today and have gained 2 pounds back!

I pulled the book out and found that if I eat, say chicken today, I ' m not suppose to eat it again for another 4 days? I am understanding this correct?

I have not been eating any other veggies but the salad at night. I am really getting bored! Not only have I gained 2 pounds but I still can not get into the large or heavy stages of ketosis?

HELP PJ

I never read or heard that. Are you trying the Atkins plan????

Also, if you are on the Atkins plan, you should be eating more than just one salad a day. We have a FAQ on this board with a lot of information about Induction ( the first phase of the 4 phases of Atkins. )

If you are on the Atkins plan, you might want to post a few days menues and we can help evaluate your progress and maybe take the problem for you! [ / icon_biggrin. gif]

Oh, and Welcome to the board.

Thanks Northern Lady!

Most every day I have eggs, cheese and either ham or bacon for breakfast.

Lunch I have grilled chicken, or tuna and egg salad and always suger free jello

SupperI have a big salad with chopped eggs, cheese, cucumbers and grilled chicken or pork chops.

The next day for supper I ' ll have a salad and a piece of broiled salmon.

I ' ll take the left over salmon and cream cheese the next day for lunch.

I always have the egg breakfast every morning.

I have had cashews a couple of times ( under a 1 / 4 of a cup ). I bought an avocado to put in my salad tonight.

I have lost inches and am delighted!!!

Just need to get into the heavy stage of ketosis and then I can have a little more of a variety right?

Thanks for your support and response!

PJ

I cook a chicken and eat it for five days. There is very little protein that is better for you all around than chicken. Atkins is simple. You avoid sugar, white flour, white rice, and potatoes. You eat protein, such as meat / fish / fowl and vegetables, some cheese, cream, and later on fruit and additional vegetables. Some people can eventually bring back some carbs, such as brown rice and whole wheat bread. You can also eat various condiments and such, like olives, sauces and such. The book lays out for the the stages that you follow and if you do that are are strict with yourself, you should experience excellent weight loss results. There is no magic about the foods. Atkin is simply a clever and effective way to eat less, eat the right foods, and exercise. Just count your carbs, get daily exercise and listen to your body telling you that you ' ve had enough to eat.

Your menu looks pretty good. If you ' re losing inches then you ' re doing something right. Congratulations.. Keep it up!

Good Luck! [ / icon_smile. gif]
