Ok anyone who does weightlifting knows what i mean. Since atkins ( june 17 04 ) i went from 238 to 226now, and love it, especially what protein does to the muscles. 4 times a week i do principally arm / tri ' s / chest with 2 25 lb bells, and i ' ve noticed that my biceps pop out much more then when i was not on atkins. Plus the protein heals the muscle really fast also. This is another GOOD reason to stick to atkins, take care.

I ' d say what really makes the muscles POP is the loss of fat in the layer that covers your muscles! The less fat you have covering your muscles, the more ripped your going to look!
Of course, eating the protein and fat and vegis in atkins is important... as is eating enough... you wouldn ' t want your body to start eating your muscles for energy!

Protein does indeed build muscles. Your biceps are probably also benefitting from less water in your fat cells, allowing them to be more visible. Good luck with the weight lifting. I did it too when I was young and loved it.
