So I don't get discouraged, I mark on my calendar, about a month ahead, very modest goals, ( about 2 lbs. every two weeks ) and I find that when the scale doesn't move for a week or moves very little, I look at my calendar and feel better because I'm still on track. Although I wish I were a sprinter, being a distance runner isn't to bad at all!! Eight pounds is eight pounds, even if it takes two months.

Your analogy regarding long distance running is interesting, because it is excercise that will eventually take you to your goal if you remain on Atkins. You are looking to attain a weight goal which is very light compared to many, so the usual reports of people losing 5 or 6 pounds per week will not apply to you... be patient, follow the program, drink tons of water, and excercise daily. Your attitude is great!!!!

You are doing great! Smaller amounts of weight to loose takes longer.
Keep going!
