Hi all
Ive just started the induction phase of the atkins, i am 157 pounds and 5ft 7. I am just slightly concerned as i feel very full, much fuller than normal and because im eating exactly the converse of everything ive ever been told to eat, im a bit worried. And i just read on here that someone said their fiancee actually put on weight!! Now im terrified!! Can anyone advise? [ / icon_question. gif]

Some people do put on weight, especially during TOM but it ' s often water weight. If you do the diet * correctly * and do not cheat, you would have to eat a CRAPLOAD of food to actually gain on this diet - especially during the induction phase. Later phases, when more carbs are gradually introduced, you do need to be a little more careful.
However, cheating even with just a little bit like too much heavy cream or cheese can cause stalls or even gain - but even there, it ' s usually a LOT of stuff like that. And cheating with breads / rice / pasta - that ' s really bad as it completely negates the effect of this way of eating.
Get & read the book - Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution if you haven ' t already, and also make sure to read the stickies in this forum and all the FAQ ' s - I ' m sure you ' ll find tons of helpful info in there [ / icon_smile. gif]. Good Luck!!
Brightest Blessings,
Lisa
