After reading your post I pulled out the book ( Everyone trying to do this diet should read this book, it contains everything you need. ) And here ' s what I came up with.
If you experience fatigue or light - headedness during the first week doing atkins, most often this means the movement is going too fast for your metabolism. You ' re losing weight too fast, losing water and certain minerals too fast and your body can ' t keep walk with these changes.
The only vegetables you listed were celery and tomatoes. You ' re right, you need to add more vegetables of the green leafy kind.
Here ' s my solution:
The alcohol isn ' t a big deal, you ' ll have burned it off by now. But, the chocolate is full of sugar so, your next meal will be you starting over and doing it right!
Eat atleast 3 cups of salad type, green - leafy vegetables a day. Spread it out to two meals, so say for lunch and dinner eat 1 1 / 2 cups of salad with a nice low carb dressing like ranch, caesar, oil & vinegar, or blue cheese. If you get the energy drain again, add carbs in the form of vegetables. After the symptoms go away, go back to the normal carb level.
Other than the 3 cups of salad type vegetables, you can eat food from the acceptable food list.. chicken fish, pork.. up to 3 or 4 ounces of cheese and drink lots and lots of water, this will help with everything. Here ' s a guideline for water: Take your weight in pounds, and divide it in half. Drink that number of ounces a day. The exception is to drink a minimum of 64 oz. So if you ' re 100lbs drink 64 ounces, 150 lbs 75 oz. 200 lbs, 100 oz.
You don ' t have a lot to lose. 20 lbs may seem like a lot, especially when you haven ' t been able to get it off any other way, but really it ' s not. Now, you ' ve done induction before, but in a crash diet way, when you do this, your metabolic resistance increases making it more difficult each time. So that said, you should be able to progress through the 4 phases, induction, on going weightloss, pre maintenance and maintenance pretty quickly, but then stay at the maintenance level. It should have a lot of freedom for you and allow you to stay at the weight you want for life.11 октября 2008 г.
