Hey guys I have done the atkins before for a little while and did well - want to lose about 30 lbs and have more energy. Just worried though last time I went off it I slipped and stayed off it just worried about my willpower. I was also wondering what people had for breaskfast if they don ' t feel like anything meaty or eggy. You guys all seem very supportive

I ' ve never tried one myself, but I ' ve read that a lot of people like eating the 1 minute muffins for breakfast ( or anytime for that matter ).
The general recipe is:
1 / 4 cup flax meal
1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder
1 container splenda package
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 large egg
1 teaspoon butter
Though there are variations to change the taste and traits.

Since flax is a seed... isn ' t that added later in OWL?
Try last night ' s leftovers if you ' re tired of eggs... or have sausage with onions and peppers.

Sometimes I ' ll have a one - ounce cheese stick for breakfast.
I also like having peeled, hard - boiled eggs on hand. Even if I don ' t feel like frying up some eggs, I can grab a hard boiled egg and go.
But, my favorite breakfast during Induction is pumpkin pudding:
½ cup canned pumpkin
3 oz cream cheese
1 / 8 tsp. ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
1 packet Splenda
Mix together and microwave for 40 seconds - - yummy!

Everything is on the Induction list... just watch the cheese the rest of the day, since we only get " up to " 4 oz a day. 1 / 2 cup of pumpkin as 6. 3 net g carb... but it ' s a veggie so it counts as half of your 12 to 15 g a day. Indulgent... in a way... since it goggles up half of your veggies and 3 / 4 of your cheese allowances. But it ' s all " ok ".
Total carb count for this b ' fast would be 10. 3 carbs ( 6. 3 for pumpkin, 1 for splenda, 3 for cheese ). I ' d be more likely to have it for dessert on those days when I haven ' t had enough veggies. [ / icon_wink. gif]
