Ahh! Our friend invited us to see Dark Equestrian!!!! OMG! [ / icon_smile. gif]
But we ' re trying to incline what to take to eat since it ' s such a long movie and we ' ll get hungreh! Our friends don ' t plan on eating out so we won ' t have any big issue with a restaurant and trying to determine what they put in it at least!
But I ' m thinking maybe some string cheeses, a couple meat sticks for me since my husband hates them, and... not sure what else to take especially for him since he won ' t eat my slim jims!
Any ideas for something that ' s good to take along?
Thanks guys! We leave in a couple hours so if no responses I ' ll understand!

You can enjoy the smell of popcorn. It really smells better than it tastes, anyway.
I think you ' re right on the mark with string cheese. You could also cut up some veggies into popcorn sized chunks ( only those from the Acceptable List ) and eat them like popcorn.
If you ' ve cut out diet soda because of the aspartame and caffeine, bring a splenda - sweetened flavor packet and add it to a bottle of water. I know it hurts to spend $4 on a bottle of water at the theatre, but you would have spent that much on soda, right?

Just watch the carbs in the beef sticks... they ' re not all beef. Definitely bring a cheese stick or two. Other suggestions ( you ' re on induction so it ' s harder ) are baggies of cucumber slices, green pepper strips, yellow squash slices, etc.
Rather than think you ' re going to get hungry... have a meal before you go. You shouldn ' t actually get physically hungry for hours.

Well we ate big before we went and then we took string cheese, some cheddar, deli meat and while out, bought some grilled chicken with nothing on it at a little place in the mall.
It worked. [ / icon_smile. gif]
And the meat sticks are. 5 carbs each. They ' re tiny. It ' s okay. I like them once in a while. Not a constant snack> [ / icon_smile. gif]

Also: Dark Knight is 2 1 / 2 hours and with previews, car ride to big city, return trip, etc... it was like... 12 to 7. So I would have been hungry if I hadn ' t had a snack along. [ / icon_smile. gif]
