I know that veggies are very important on every phase of the Atkins. However, I just don ' t like them. I barricade down a couple cups a day of veggies but don ' t care for them at all.
Could you take a super food greens drink instead of eating veggies? The green super food drinks I have looked at have between 15 - 17 carbs per serving. What I was planning on doing is separation a serving into 3 servings so you would get about 5 carbs per serving.
I am on induction. Advice?
Thanks!

I tried to google the ingredients list of Green Super Foods, but there appear to be absolutely a few brands. Here ' s what to do:
Look at the ingredients list for the kind you have. Then compare it to the Acceptable Foods for Induction list.
http: / / www. atkins. com / articles / atkins - phases / phase - one / acceptable - foods
If all the ingredients in your Super Foods is on the list, you can have it during Induction. If any of the ingredients are not on the list, you cannot have it during Induction.
Later, during OWL, you could probably add it to your diet, depending on the ingredients.
Why not prosper a taste for fresh, wholesome vegetables, though? Unprocessed food is often better for you, don ' t you think?

One thing to think about... Dr Atkins wrote about this in his book and I ' ve seen it other places as well... the foods we " can ' t live without " are often the foods causing us the most problems AND the foods " we can ' t stand " are often the foods our bodies need the most. Personally, I believe that anyone can learn to eat and LIKE vegetables. Start with the sweeter ones... not corn or pea... but cauliflower, tomatoes, onions, broccoli ( veggies all have natural sugars in them ). The best way to bring out the natural sweetness is to roast them. Put some fresh veggies in a big ziplock bag... pour in some EVOO, S&P and if you like it, fresh pressed garlic. Shake the bag to coat the veggies... pour into a 9X13 and bake them at 350 - 400 degrees. Shake the pan or stir occassionally until they are tender and browned. You ' ll have to experiment and be willing to TRY... but not eating vegetables... well... like I told my sons, that ' s just not negotiable. Drinking a processed seudo - vegetable just isn ' t the same, no matter what it ' s made from.

Tril ' s right, it really makes a difference how you cook the veggies. Roasting them is a great idea.
I used to hate brussels sprouts. Then my daughter made me some and I love them now. Here ' s how she cooked them for me:
She cut them in half and sauteed them in a mixture of olive oil and butter with fresh garlic and a sprinkle of salt. Yum!
