hi guys
i ' m natalia and i ' m 18. and i need to lose weight. now, let me tell you my story [ / icon_lol. gif] 4 months ago i had 114 lbs. i looked great ( i know it sounds so haughty, but i really looked great [ / icon_lol. gif] ). when the summer holiday started i started gainging weight... at the moment i weigh almost 147 lbs maybe more. i ' m too scared to weigh myself or to measure myself. i look horrible. but most of all i don ' t feel healthy, i just feel that my heart is beating too fast and i ' m scared. i have to start loosing weight and that is what i ' m going to do and i hope i ' ll find support here with you guys [ / icon_biggrin. gif]
so, i ' m starting induction on tuesady. i ' m going to formulate a menu and i ' d much appreciate if you could tell me what ' s right or wrong. i read a lot of things about induction but i ' m so obssesed with doing the right thing that i have to be 100 % sure [ / icon_biggrin. gif]
so:
breakfast: omlette made of 2 eggs and 50g gouda cheese
lunch: 2 pork steaks
dinner: 100grams bacon
what do you think? i don ' t think there are enough carbs. can you give me example of a menu with 15 carbs please please please?
thank you for reading this and any advice is welcome [ / icon_biggrin. gif]

Uh, yeah... not enough carbs for Atkins Induction.
Here ' s an example of an Induction menu:
Breakfast
3 egg omelette with avocado,
1 oz Mozzarella cheese and tomato
tea / coffee with cream
Lunch
8 oz round steak
Spinach and mixed leaf salad with mushrooms, onions, celery and 1 oz parmesan cheese
vinaigrette dressing ( make your own, no sugar added )
Dinner
9 oz Broiled salmon
Kale topped with garlic, lemon
Snacks if needed... plain protein like burned chicken, boiled eggs, etc.
The salad and kale would be about 2 cups total, the other veggies all combined... another cup.
Read this... http: / / lowcarbsite. com / forum / viewtopic. php? t=10970... it will tell you exactly what you CAN eat and if there are limits, what those are. Make your menu based on this list.
You should eat 12 - 15 net carbs a day of vegetables. Besides your vegetable carbs you can do this:
" To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream or three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods. "
Do NOT do this diet based on what you ' ve " heard " or what someone else tells you it is. READ the BOOK. If you don ' t have it, get to a library and borrow it. In the meantime, read the FAQ on this forum ( main index ).
A word of advice... you don ' t have a lot to lose ( relatively speaking, although I accept that to you it seems more like a mountain than a molehill ) so it won ' t come off as fast as it went on. You ' ll want it to, but it won ' t. And it shouldn ' t. Learn to eat right. To gain as fast as you did you had to be very much out of control. This diet will help you get that control back... if you do it right. It ' s NOT a crash diet. You can ' t " go off " it once you ' re back to the weight you were. If you think that ' s what you ' re going to do... pick a different diet to lose the weight. Pick a diet that micmics how you want to eat the rest of your life.

Hey Natalia, lemme address something for you right off.
Your heart is fine. You ' re too young, and were in good shape for too long to instantly have potentially lethal heart problems just from going up to 147, so you don ' t have to worry about that.
I was a bit of a heart hypochondriac and my situation was far worse than yours so I ' ve done extensive testing and research with my doctors and in the end, Atkins has put me back on perfect cardiovascular health. The heart pounding is just a result of your being a bit more out of shape and having it work harder to do the same tasks you didn ' t notice it doing before.
That being said, I think above and beyond the lack of carbohydrates in your diet, you ' re not really eating very frequently. A snack between breakfast, lunch, and dinner of a small size will trick your body into starting up the digestive / metabolistic process again, helping your body ramp itself up to burn weight.
Get a good multivitamin like One - A - Day, and take that with some food, I do it at dinner.
Also even some walking or a bit of situps or Pilates will help the weight shed very fast. My ex gf went from 185 to 112 doing the same diet I did, and a bit of cardio in the gym and some pilates. Took her from Feb to May I believe.

Think she lost the last 15 lbs pretty slowly, but she was like me, just chubby from finishing college. Her body responded well to the exercise and the lack of sugars.
