well this question has been asked a million times all ready i suppose. but here it goes anyways... what time of the day do you use your test strips, and do you still use them when your not in the induction phase? i would look it up in the book but im ay work... thanks everybody!!!

You can use them any time of day. You ' ll get a lighter reading when you ' re hydrated ( purple is an indication of dehydration, btw ). It doesn ' t matter when you test... so long as there ' s a color change you have ketones in your urine. Lighter readings can be an indication that you ' re properly hydrated and / or BURNING the ketones up for fuel ( what we WANT ) before they can reach your urine. So a light color can be a GOOD thing, not a bad thing. Any ketones ( by - product of fat metabolization ) not used for fuel will " spill over " into your urine.
