You could try mixing mayo and mustard - proportions to taste ( I repeatedly do about 50 / 50 ). Or with some Thai or Indian curry paste. Or other spice you like. Mayo is a fantastic base for sauces. It ' s also great mixed with soy sauce.

Kraft makes a low sugar ( used to be called Carb One ) BBQ sauce. It ' s the only one I buy now... even the kids / dh prefers it for some reason. We cook the meat ( ribs, chicken, whatever ) either in the oven ( ribs I bake with onions first ) and then lightly glaze with the sauce. It has 4 g carb per 2 TBS serving. Because the meat isn ' t cooked IN the sauce you don ' t need a lot of it to taste it. I like the suggestion of mixing mayo with something... this BBQ sauce would be perfect for that!

I tried Bluehex ' s suggestion for lunch, 2 tablespoons of mayo, 2 mustard, some cracked black pepper and a dash of lemon juice. Made a really tangy, lovely stir fry sauce. Thanks Bluehex [ / icon_biggrin. gif]
