1. Is it better to eat breakfast before or after exercising? I oftentimes walk between 5 and 10 miles a day ( I am training for an Avon Breast Cancer walk and it is 39 miles ). Today I am expressive a bit later than normal and I was just curious what would be better....
2. So, I am on day 5 and have not fallen off course. I have done Atkins before and lost 25 lbs. I also kept it off for 2 years, but in recent months I have gained about 8 back. Five days in I am down 5 and want to stick to it this time so it doesnt come back ( plus, I have a recent diagnosis of celiac disease so I cannot eat much in the way of flours anyway ). My question is this - I am tempted to add a few more carbs as I dont have much to lose, but I want your opinion. I would like to throw in an Endulge bar once in awhile or ( more importantly ) a spoonful of peanut butter...
If I follow the plan and do that will I sabotage myself - just looking for your experiences here
3. Also, are the atkins shakes any good? Even when I did this before I was leary of them....
Thanks all, have a great weekend!

The shakes do not really impact me, and I like them.
I have one in the morning these days, first thing. The protein gets my metabolism going.
For lunch I have another one ( vanilla ) with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream and some Davinci Syrup Egg Nog Flavor and its exactly like a big big glass of egg nog.
If you take protein powder shakes like i do for after weight lifting, you can mix the two together for some serious thick shake action.

i love the new shakes especially the coffee / latte flavors. I have used the shakes off and on since the last couple times i did atkins, first starting in 2004. I have never had a problem with them aka stalls, but everyone is different i would pay attention to your own body to see if it can handle them or not. but those new flavors mmm mmm mmm lol
