Hi, I am on day 10 of induction diet. Just wondering if anyone else on here has diabetes and what problems that might cause on this diet. I have lost 5lbs which is not so great I guess - for all the tug. It feels good to endow my blood sugar though. Just would sure like to have fruit. It has been very interesting reading the posts and insightful others are going through the same experiences. I wish us all success!!

Actually, in his book, Dr. Atkins said some people have experienced improvement in their type II diabetes. There is a section of the book devoted to diabetes: pages 313 - 330. in case you have not read it yet.
I wouldn ' t count those five pounds as meagre. Some people get started a little slower than others. And those are five pounds you don ' t have any more. Keep it up and keep us posted.
Good Luck! [ / icon_smile. gif]

Thank you much. I have read the book. I just wondered if anyone here had personel experiences. Will be seeing my doctor Wed. It will be interesting to learn his opionion. I am gung ho though as I have never started a diet where I wasn ' t hungry. I think this is the first time in many years when my blood sugar hasn ' t been bouncing up and down like a yo yo. I feel more " normal " than I can remember in a long time.
