So I was doing real well for a month and a half and came back home for 2 wks to visit family and friends and finish up some school finals from an online class that required us to do our final appearance - to - frontage. When I got back here I was doing fine. It was then that I got TMO a wk early and had terrible cravings especially, too, the actuality that my hubby ' s grandpa passed away too while i was here and it was stressful my hubby not being here for the wake and funeral because he is deployed and I was very stressed out having not heard from him since monday, worrying about him. So.. I have fallen off the wagon for the last few days - binging on cheese and peanut butter, gave in to maybe only a handful of oreos, a small bag of popcorn and at the funeral today unquestionably nothing was atkins friendly so i ate a reg. meal. I have also been super bloated in my stomach and even my exterior from TMO because it has so far lasted 8 days and still counting and I was exercising 6 days a wk before I came here and hadn ' t here because I had no room to do so at my parents house. I leave tomorrow to go back home and I completely intend on following through with going back on the diet first thing tommorrow morning. Have I done a lot of damage having fallen off the last 4 - 5 days? Thanks!

You can certainly start right back on Induction and go on from where you left off. You had a setback. It happens. You can forgive yourself and move on. You actually didn ' t do too badly.
Maybe the most utile thing to take away from this would be to make a plan for dealing with stressful times like you just had ( and wow, that must have been stressful! ) without resorting to carbs.
When your TMO rolls around, what can you eat that is enjoyable, but not saline ( water retention )? Two of my favorite low - carb treats are low carb cheesecake and pumpkin mixed with cream cheese, splenda and pumpkin pie spice.
When you ' re feeling sad and lonely, what can you do besides eating that will help? How about creating some art, or reading a funny book, or going for a walk with a close friend or relative?
When you ' re feeling anxious, it ' s easy to eat carbs to stuff down the anxiety. Instead, how about writing your husband a letter, making him a hand - made card or recording a tape for him?
Since you ' ve only gone six days without exercise, you ' re not going to lose momentum there. It takes a few weeks of inactivity to lose the good effects you gained from regular exercise.
Congratulations on your determination to get back on the plan!

To be honest I don ' t think you should focus on how much damage you ' ve done. You ' ve been worried, stressed and in an awkward situation. I think it ' ll just make the stress you ' re under worse if you focus on something you can ' t change. Far better to focus on what damage you COULD do if you don ' t get back on track, at least that ' s something you can control. You can ' t uneat the bad food. You were good before, you can be good again. [ / icon_smile. gif] Good luck, and I hope you worries get lighter.

Thanks guys its nice to know there is much support when i come back here to help me move on and get back on that induction lol btw.. i haven ' t exercised in 2 wks as of tomorrow [ / icon_sad. gif] will that still set me back as far as exercising - since i come back here in 2 wks for a 5 - year reunion sheesh lol - i have planned on maybe taking on Curves for a week so that i don ' t have to worry about not having room to exercise here - i never was an exerciser before and this is honestly, of the few other times did atkins in the past, the first time i added exercise, even tho Dr. Atkins says it is a must [ / icon_smile. gif] Thanks again guys for your support and words of encouragement!
