Hi all,
Has anyone had experience with pure fennel tea? That it, is it really zero carbs and has it affected anyones weight loss? Its supposed to be good for Hero issues, which I have, and I am thinking of approaching a big crowd ( unsweetened ) and air-conditioned in the frdge to drink throughout the day.
Thoughts?
Thanks much [ / icon_cool. gif]

Hey... saw that no one had responded to this yet. I don ' t know about fennel tea, never had it or read about it. A quick google search though and I can see it ' s used for intestinal issues... it relaxes the colon. People with IBS use it. I couldn ' t find it in any of my favorite carb count sources.
For other teas, according to some of the caloire / carb count websites I use, one serving of tea can have as much as 1. 0 g carb ( Lipton ' s Quietly Chamomile Herbal Tea, for example. I like my tea very weak... three dunks of the teabag and it ' s perfect. [ / icon_wink. gif] I consider one tea bag one serving ( I use a bag 3 or 4 times ). If you like your tea very strong and you drink a LOT of it, you may be getting enough carbohydrate from it to consider counting it toward your daily total.... especially during Induction.
Here ' s a good list of teas... http: / / www. calorie - count. com / calories / search. php? search_type=&searchpro=tea % 2C + herbal

I don ' t know, it appears to me that fennel tea is brewed from the seed, not the fronds of the plant. It might be more comparable to chamomile... which has. 75 g of carb per " bag " according to that tea link I gave.
