A lot of us started in the new year and it is slowing down... anyone want to chime in with how you are doing?
I will start, I need a kick in the fat pants. It has been 9 weeks and going really well, for the most part, but I am losing my focus. I ate a bagel yesterday and a tortilla. A hamburger bun here and there. How about some Easter candy thrown in for good measure? I am wearing a smaller size want and they got loose, so I feel thin... which is a total joke. I still have 85 pounds to go! I am not exercising either, I know that would help me " be in my body ".
So, 26 lbs down, 85 to go... Tell me to GET REAL! [ / icon_twisted. gif]

Oh, get real, woman [ / icon_lol. gif] Just kidding. I ' m just about close to 20 lbs gone as of Feb 17. As so very appealing as breads and potatoes are, I ' ve managed to stay away from them so far and I haven ' t gotten the kids their Easter candy yet, so I haven ' t been tempted with that. ( Ohhhhh, it ' s marshmallow peep season [ / icon_cry. gif] ) I haven ' t been exercising either, so don ' t feel bad. I found at the store today Net Carb candy from Russell Stover, with each serving 2. or less total net carbs. I really need something sweet once in a while ( sometimes I think one more sugar free jello and I ' m going to vomit [ / icon_redface. gif] ) and these are pretty good. I ' m going to just keep plugging along, and I ' m going to stay away from the scale every day, maybe I ' ll weigh myself just once a week.

I know what you mean, db - - when I look at how far I have to go, it gets a little titillating. It ' s a long road.
On the other hand, what would we weigh now if we hadn ' t done all the work we ' ve been doing? Maybe you would be up 26 lbs instead of down 26 lbs! So you can think of today as a 52 lb loss from what what your weight might have been if you hadn ' t come as far as you have!

I have a good candy recipe. These truffles taste like Reese ' s yet have only about 1 carb apiece. Let me know if you want to try it. I swear my hubby would be eating carbs again if not for these and the pizza ( 3 carbs a piece! ) that I make.

This is my second time around with this WOE and one thing I have learned is to forgive myself for cheating. I think if we sit around thinking we can never eat another tortilla or piece of real candy we will feel deprived. So we blow it once in a while and we pick ourselves back up and continue on down the road. So, desertbitch ( I feel so funny calling you that, LOL ) give yourself a pat on the back for all your good days and forgive the bad. Even your worse cheat days are probably better than every day before you started this WOE so in reality they are still success days and not failure days, right? You ' re doing great!

I have to say that I feel the same way right now. I have attempted low carb so many times I have run out of fingers and toes and then some. I am going on week 3 ( a combination of induction and owl ) and feel great. I went off plan on Friday night as we went to a baseball game and didn ' t have time to get something at home before we went, so my DH and I had nachos ( split them, so it could have been worse ) but we got right back on track on Saturday and I really don ' t feel the urge to cheat just yet. We are going to New Hampshire the last weekend of June and we are eating at our all - time favorite restaurant and I am planning on cheating during that meal because I dont ' get to have it all the time but I plan to get right back on track after that and don ' t plan on cheating until that day. I have 80 + lbs to lose and I really want to do it!!!!
