Mayo is OK, but you have to find a brand which doesn ' t have sugar.
Please read the book or at least teh Atkins website, so you get to know all the rules - this diet is not as elementary as media make it look! You say you are determined, certainly your determination is worth a few hours of reading?
Also, please remember to drink at least 2 litres of water a day - it is very important for weightloss.
Good luck!

No " true " mayo has sugar in it. Mayo is made from oil and egg yolks and then is seasoned with an acid, ofttimes lemon juice, salt and pepper. You may have been reading a jar of something called " Miracle Whip " which is NOT mayo. If you look up a few posts, you will see a WHOLE LIST of acceptable foods that is " stickied " at the top. Miss it? [ / icon_confused. gif]

Um... KetoStickQueen isn't Hellmann's, real Mayonnaise? I think it is, and one of the ingredients is sugar!
I ' m not sure why you are confused by scoobystu321 ' s question due to the actuality that the

As I stated.... TRUE mayo.. that is NOT FROM A JAR doesn ' t have sugar in it. If you know where your eggs come from, and have some Olive Oil and a lemon in the house and are healthy, you should try homemade. It ' beats the pants off jarred and you know what ' s actually in it as you ' re the one preparing it. I ' ve heard Hellman ' s has changed their recipe and has added sugar. I read the label on the current brand of A&P mayo ( most probably Hellman ' s / Best foods ) and the ingredients list sugar but I read the nutritional information on both. Per serving: 0 sugar, 0 carbs. So it ' s OK for me for use it. Your mileage may vary. I am so used to seeing mayo on Atkins lists I must have halucinated it was on the pinned list. Mayo IS allowed. Maybe the post needs editing.

I know it must get tiring having the same questions asked over again. This is supposed to be a siter for SUPPORT and sometimes it seems people answer others with way too much rudeness. If it bothers you so much to have to answer the question again, why bother wasting your time to do it rudley? Just dont answer. It makes us afraid to post anything, in fear of beating pissed at.

KITOSTICKQUEEN thats a great ideal but not everyone has time to make homemade but if that works for you thats a wonderful thing. HELLMANS makes a carb free mayo that doesnt have sugar or carbs in it and its a true mayo. I pulled this off the hellmans web site

Hi
In the uk supermarkets im not sure of they have this kind of mayo. If they have i have not seen it.
Supermarkets own brands of mayo usualy cost cheaper and have less sugar them, then the helmans.
However the ingrediants they do indicate that their is some sugar.
Just try not to eat the moyo with every meal, i think thats the key.
Its the same for the cream also i have found that most contain sugar
I tend to have these two things in modoration * * *10 октября 2008 г.
